Q. What is a Cabochon?

A. A cabochon is a gemstone that has been shaped and polished (rather than faceted like a traditional gem).  Typically this results in a convex rounded 'front' with a flat reverse side. 

Q. What is Wire-wrapping?

A. Wire-wrapping is a means of fabrication by wrapping multiple strands of metal wire to create sculpted or unusual forms or shapes. It can be used to create mounts for other objects in jewellery, or to create larger sculpted works.  The wire used is usually a soft or malleable metal such as copper.

Q. Are all your creations one-off and unique?

A. Yes, everything I create is hand-crafted and one of its kind.  If you like one of the pieces you see on the website, but it is no longer available, just contact me and I'll be able to create something very similar.
